It's okay if you need to buy a few things here and there, but try to stay away from buying a lot of necessities if you already have them. You also want to make sure that you stay away from spending money on your credit or debit card, and stick to cash. Assuring that you have enough EMERGENCY cash is a must, emphasis on emergency! Lastly, if you have a meal plan at your school, stick to that! You receive as much food as you can anywhere on campus, and doing this can guarantee that you are not touching any money on your personal card. This cannot only help you save enough money to go anywhere you want, but can also teach you how to be able to manage your money in a smarter and better way!
